China: Mobile phone users reached 523.3mn people
As in September 2007, the number of mobile phone users in China reached 523.3mn people, an increase by 62.257mn users from end-2006. The rate of mobile phone users reached 39.9 units per 100 people. The rate of fixed line users was 28.3 units per 100 people. A total of 431.16bn mobile phone messages were sent during the nine-month period, a year-on-year hike by 38.9%.
