Nokia's market share 36.2% in Q4/2006

Gartner Research reports that Nokia had a worldwide market share of 36.2% in the last quarter of 2006. The share was 2.3 percentage points up from 2005. The company sold some 345mn mobile phones in 2006. Se cond biggest was Motorola, with market share was up 3.4 percentage points, but the growth of its share waned towards the end of the year. Third was Samsung, fourth Sony Ericsson and fifth LG. Samsung lost market shares in 2006.
