Amazon étoffe son service d'achat par SMS. Amazon US a annoncé la mise en place d'alertes quotidiennes pour ses clients inscrits à son service d'achat par SMS "text buy it". Désormais, Amazon envoie chaque jour par SMS une sélection de produits "gold box" à ces abonnés américains, qui peuvent les acheter en répondant "buybg" par sms, ou en suivant un lien vers le site mobile d'Amazon. Powered by mobile web platform provider Usablenet, Sears2go promises customers mobile access to product categories like apparel, electronics and computers, fitness and sports, jewelry, tools, toys and games; after they've made their purchase, Sears will send a text message alert when the merchandise is ready for in-store pickup. Sears2go will also offer many of the features found on the Sears.com website, including product reviews, store locator, special offers and order status."

According to Amazon.com, customers who sign up for the daily SMS alerts may either reply-to-buy with the text command "buygb" or follow the link in the text message to the company's mobile website to view complete Deal of the Day details as well as browse other discount offers. Amazon.com and its affiliated sellers offer new, refurbished and used items in categories spanning from books, movies, music and games to groceries, apparel, tools and autos."

 

American Airlines introduit les cartes d'embarquement mobiles : http://www.fiercewireless.com/press-releases/american-airlines-introduces-mobile-boarding-passes-select-airports-use-mobile-phones.   "American Airlines--the world's largest airline in terms of passenger miles and passenger airccraft fleet size--announced that travelers departing from select airports may now receive boarding passes on their mobile phones or PDAs, sidestepping the requirement of printing and presenting a paper boarding pass at check-in. American will introduce the 2-D barcode mobile boarding passes for passengers traveling on domestic flights departing from Chicago's O'Hare International, Los Angeles International and John Wayne Orange County--the airline is rolling out the program in partnership with the United States Transportation Security Administration, and said it will extend the initiative to additional U.S. airports if the trial proves successful. To use the mobile boarding pass option, customers must have an active email address where their boarding pass may be sent and a web-enabled mobile device--travelers may list only one person in their reservation and must be traveling on American or American Eagle nonstop or same-plane direct to a domestic destination from Chicago, Los Angeles or Orange County. According to American, its family of airlines serves 250 cities in 40 countries, with an average of more than 3,400 daily flights--the AA.com website is now its largest distribution channel, with more than 1.6 million site visits per day."
