Italy: 90% of consumers fear identity theft
According to a survey by RISSC carried out in Italy, 90% of respondents are afraid of being victims of online personal data theft. While 74% of the interviewees believe that identity theft will increase in the future. 38% of them have been directly or indirectly victims of identity theft and 54% of them have had their payment cards cloned. Of these only 8% was attributable to Internet fraud.
